Definitely, Fasten Your Seat Belts

Thursday’s exciting schedule of events:

Take kids to school.

Pay bills.

Lunch with my mom. (Actually, pretty much the highlight of the day because I talked her into going for ice cream afterwards.)

Wait for guy at rent house to do trim work on the new floors, who never showed up, which sort of surprises me because up until this point they have been Johnny-On-The-Spot about whatever time they said.

Pick kids up from school.

PTO meeting.

Whew! See what I mean? I’m so dull that at the rate this is going, I’ll be a matte finish by the end of the month.

I did have one giggle yesterday, though. I took Kendrie to the doctor earlier this week because she’s been complaining (again) about stomach pains. You might remember last summer she was diagnosed with a case of strep that had caused some gastritis and put on Zantac. She had started complaining again about two weeks ago and the Zantac we were giving her here wasn’t doing the trick, so I took her to see her new pediatrician. Anyway, blah blah blah, not exactly sure what’s wrong, but he gave her a new prescription for a drug that helps with stomach cramps. When I looked it up on the internet (why yes, I do have my medical degree from the School of Google) it said the medication was an “anti-spasmodic.”

Ha! My daughter is a spaz!

Yes, I know. It’s the best I’ve got right now. {shaking head shamefully}

A few of you have asked for photos … maybe this weekend I’ll take a picture of me doing laundry, or cleaning the toilets, since even that would be more interesting than the drivel I’ve been typing the past few days. Please bear with me. Hopefully I'll get my mo-jo back soon.

Wait, what exactly *is* mo-jo? And did I ever have any to begin with?

Here I am, awake way too early craving ice cream.
Post pictures of your laundry room. The more dirty clothes the better.
Another famous blogger from OK did that and had thousands of hits on her site....really, people love that sort of thing.
Kendrie a spaz? Naw

it's all perspective, girlfriend!!!
Our lives are always pretty's just how we perceive the boringness. Talking about that other famous blogger...she lives out in the middle of nowhere!!...and takes pictures of COWS...and asks people to give it a name....and TWENTYFIVEHUNDRED people show up. Granted she is giving money. But her hit counter does that all the time.

Basically, we are all trying to identify. The Vagina sausages made me laugh more than any of your other posts.

Even your last "I am dull post," I loved reading. Just write... we are here reading!! And most importantly, quit apologizing.

Love love love your site!!!

No matter how boring your days may be, you always seem to make them so exciting when you write about them. Hope Kendrie's stomach issues go away soon.

See, we all love you so much that when you show us that your life can get really boring, too, it makes us feel better that our lives aren't super interesting either. :)

Geez, your life is about as exciting as mine, friend. Next week this time we will be in P-A-R-T-Y mode! Can't wait.

Don't tout yourself too boring... we all keep showing up every day to see what you're doing. So you can't be that boring!

Sending you mo-jo from Atlanta! :)

Well, some of the parties I went to when I was a teenager and early 20's... the girls were always asking the males to show them their "mojo's", so I believe you're right when you say you don't have any!!!! LOL. Sorry, but that's what I always thought it was! I know what you are thinking, what kind of girl is this and what kind of parties did she attend? They really were just kidding with the guys. At least, I never got to see one ;-)

Would you say that your life has slowed down since you moved from Georgia? It seems like it to me just reading your blogs and I was surprised because usually being in a new place there is so much to do and see, but then of course this is not a new place is it?? lol It just seems that you were busier in Georgia and since I was born in Macon, and do love it by the way, I do know that its not a big happening town. Its probably just me but it seems like you have less to write about since you moved? But when you do blog I still love it so keep it up!!

Oh so cool! I read your post (and the linked one too). As God would have son has been experiencing the exact same thing as Kendrie and we've been struggling trying to figure it all out. He's got some other things going on that we suspect are related to a strep infection, and now I can go to the doc with some more hard evidence. Yeah!!

So...just wanted to say thank you for telling us all about your "not exciting" life. You never know when God will take what we think is normal and boring and turn it into something that changes a life. You affected my son's life today...thank you.

Hugs from the trenches in Missouri!

I think the fact that your life is so much like so many of us, that it gives us some weird type of kinship, a feeling of being in this all together! lol Truly, you are never boring. And I for one am dying to see the new house and hear all about your plans/dreams for each and every room :-) Throw me a bone, puh-lease!!

Mojo (pronounced /ˈmoʊdʒoʊ/) is a term commonly encountered in the African-American folk belief called hoodoo. A mojo is a type of magic charm, often of red flannel cloth and tied with a drawstring, containing botanical, zoological, and/or mineral curios, petition papers, and the like. It is typically worn under clothing.

For us Canadians, I would say wishing someone mojo would be wishing them well, sending ones best thoughts, hopes and energy :) So, I send you all my best mojo baby! :-)

Hey - did you forget all the time that you CRAVED & PRAYED for boring - at least your version of it! As long as you keep including ice cream as a fix/reward for your mo jo pause - it will return:)
