Funny Is ....

An 7 year old who is so excited for tonight's soccer game that she wears her uniform to school, "to save time for later, so we get to the game quicker. I have lots of practicing to do."

Oh, would ya just look at her! I just cannot believe how beautifully healthy she looks. I'm another one of those that followed your CB site, so it is especially gratifying to see pictures like that one!!! As you can tell, it makes me extremely exclamation-pointy :). Plus I think it's really cute she's that into soccer. Tell her good luck from Minnesota, and we'll be waiting to hear if she wins!

Awwww- how cute is that??? We should all embrace that kind of excitement about life:) You go Kendrie!!!

Very cute! So, after all that TV talk, did you get a chance to watch Grey's last night....and what did you think??

Aww!!! She is too cute! And so healthy looking, it is awesome! Seems so far removed from the days of fatgue and weakness you mentioned the other day and that I remember from reading her CB journal. Tell her we can't wait to hear the details of the game! :)

Wow. Kendrie is really growing up. A far cry from the little girl I first saw when I came across her caringbridge site, although still just as beautiful.

Glad she likes soccer so much. Her and Dalton really do need to meet some day. It would be a match made in heaven. (ha ha). Hope she won her game.

Looks like something both of my kids would do right now during soccer season. :0)

Too Cute!

Hey, that's about like my 8 year old daughter who wants to get dressed for school the night before and sleep in her school clothes so that she can sleep later! She even asks that I fix her hair the night before (which I don't!)!

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto!!!!! Wow, what an inspiration your girl is!!!! As someone who has been stalking your family for a while, I can't tell you how great it is to see this picture of Kendrie and "hearing" the story behind it. What an AWESOME picture and what an AWESOME girl!!!!

Thank you so much for sharing your story.

And what about the child who wants to sleep in his clothes so he can sleep longer on school days - and does!!! Soccer is a much better excuse than LAZY!!

And while I know that EVERYONE is so joyous and sincere at how wonderful Kendrie looks - you can't in all good conscience(or supersitition) give her all those "kaynahorah's" without saying ptui, ptui, ptui - spitting 3 times is required too for warding off the evil eye. What might have been Yiddish superstition, is kinda universal and I don't think after all that Kendrie and family went through ANYONE should take any chances. So, Kendrie you do look happy, healthy, wonderful and a poster child for recreational soccer fun -NOW -can we all say.... KAYNAHORAH - PTUI, PTUI, PTU!:)

My daughter once put a shower cap on her head when she was geting in the shower because she didn't want her hair to get wet until she was ready to wash it because, "the less wet it gets, the faster it will dry." I think kids are so cute when they come up with this stuff!

I hope Kendrie gets all of her practicing in before the game. Have a great day!

Just found you. I have to tell you I read like three post and I am in tears. That phone call episode with the store from hell.. oh dear... I was reading as fast as I could to get to the end to see what happened!!

As for this little sweetie pie in her soccer uniform.. I think I might see the toe of her sock poking out of her shoe!

Let me tell you my little guy is 9 and when I can wrestle him into something more than just shorts and underwear 9 times out of 10 it either has a hole.. or a worn spot.. or a grass stain.. or... or .. or.. you get the point. I used to get all upset about it.. Why are you not wearing your NEW shoes for instance... why is there a hole in that shirt.

the answers I got were typically like this..

Cause... or Dunno.... or Cause I dunno.

It is a wonderful world of conversation around these parts.

What a beautiful picture! I agree with everyone else..she looks so very healthy. As far as her soccer clothes to school scheme....my 11 year old son would wear all his catcher gear to school if I would let him. :) I love how excited my boys get to play ball. Even though I am not a sport fan, I sure can become one for my boys!
I have blog that I have reactivated and I was wondering if I can put a link to your blog on mine?

Thanks for sharing your life with us--your blog is my favorite to read. Your retirement plans don't involve Seattle do they? :) Have a great weekend!

This picture says it all. What a kid you have Kristie! She looks so happy. I love it!!
I could see and smell the smoke from your Georgia wildfires yesterday. At first I thought it was a local fire. I hope they put them out soon.

Wow. I love the enthusiasm. Hope she did well and enjoyed her game. I'm still smiling over the fact that you and Blaine have a decent shot of retiring together - you all deserve a break from the crapola of life SO much. Love and prayers.

So, after reading your blog these past months, and checking out a few others, I find myself actually writing my own blog entries in my head during the odd moments in the day when my mind isn't where it's supposed to be - and actually wondering if I could do one! But then, who would ever be interested in my life and thoughts?? But, I've always wanted to try writing (professionally, even!!) - and - wouldn't this be a great way to get the creative juices flowing?? But, how do you go about getting started?? Are there any remedial blogging classes out there?? How does one get started?? Just wondering.....

PS - Kendrie - you're amazing, girl! I think you're truly wonderful!!

Good Saturday to you, Kristie! Did Kendrie's team win. Enquiring minds want to know and then, after, they want to turn into Mrs. Butt-in-ski's. You know how I sometimes stick my nose in? Here goes again...

liz in sumner, you not only CAN, but you SHOULD! It is so fun and so easy. Really. If I, a computer illiterate who has only owned a computer a little over a year, can do it anyone can. Plus, blogspot makes it so easy. You get walked right through the process. And people will visit you; I know, for me, it was hard to believe that anybody was actually reading what I had to say but I added a site meter and, sure enough, somebody was reading! Do it!!!

Okay, sorry. I will blame my Mrs. Butt-in-ski-ness on my blog addiction. Currently looking for the appropriate 12-Step Program. I've been stalking this blog just to smile over Kendrie's picture!

SHe is absolutely beautiful. I just found your blog, but I've been stuck here for like 20 minutes now just reading it. That reminds me of my daughter. We went through alot of not so fun stuff with her, and even though she was way too young to remember it, it's almost like she has been given a special gift because this child can find joy, excitement & beauty in anything and everything. She definently doesn't take life for granted. Your daughter sounds the same way. (((prayers for her good health to continue:))))

I hope her game was as exciting as she was!! (if that makes sense)..

Wow, your blog is so entertaining! I read some of your past posts and some of the blogs you listed and I'm hooked.

Sorry to hi-jack the comments, but KIM, how do you add a site meter to your blog so that you can see if anyone is ready or not? Just this weekend I set up a blog on blogspot (haven't shared the site with anyone yet because I'm still getting it the way I want it) and I'd love to put a meter on there, but don't see that as an option anywhere.

Again, sorry for the hi-jack.

Hi Kristie--Stopped by to see if there was an update, noticed a new comment, thought it might be you, checked, SURPRISE--it was for me--HAHA! Kristie, hurry back cause I miss you--also did Kendrie's team WIN, what with all the practicing and all she did? :) MISS YOU!

Briana--awww, I feel so important--HA! No, really--so easy. Just go to www.sitemeter.com, click on the link for the free site meter, and they walk you right through it. Very, very simple--or I wouldn't have it, because I fly strictly by the seat of my pants when it comes to computer stuff. Hope this helps, and hope to be able to visit your blog sometime!

Hope everyone is doing well in your home. I have run your counter up checking in over and over for a new post. You make me nervous when you don't post for a few days and I know you are just super busy like most moms. Kendrie looks so good!
