The View From My Computer Chair

We've already established that I have a problem.

But it's official now.

I need an intervention.

Oh my gosh I am laughing so hard!!! I actaully was telling a guy at my husband Photogrpahy group about how I love my pop in a syrofoam cup with pebble ice. Preferablly from sonic! LOL . So when I saw this I laughed my butt off!! Thanks for humoring me! (Sorry for all the spelling errors)

Until I found your journal I'd never heard of Sonic - I don't think we have an equivalent over here. But hey if I had enough room on my desk to line up four cups I'd be pleased! See the silver lining!! :)

I am so jealous; we don't have Sonic here in MN. The OCD part of me has actually considered a little road trip to IA for the specific purpose of experiencing Sonic. Of course, that was before people had to start signing away their lives to pay for gas. But that's a whole other thing. We don't have ANYTHING cool here in MN...well, except for Culvers. Mmmm! BUT, Culvers doesn't have tots; Sonic has tots. Mmmm! Thirsty AND hungry now. :)

Better than empty milkshake cups.

No Sonic in PA. That sucks.

After your day on Monday, you deserve to have all the Sonic cups you want on your desk!!

Heck, there are way worse vices. I say, "Drink up!"

But then I consume like 9 cans of diet coke a day. So maybe I'm not the one to comment. 10 cans would be a problem. But 9? 9 is cool.

It's DDP, not an 800-calorie white chocolate mocha from Starbucks. So drink up!! Did you drink those all in one day? Hope your bathroom is close.

We have plenty of Sonic's here in TEXAS! That's my 8 year old daughter's favorite restaurant!!

Question for you and your readers: I'm getting ready to go to the beach for a week (woo-hoo) and need reading material! I got Burnt Toast by Terri Hatcher but need suggestions of other "girl" books while I'm at the beach!!

Thanks,
Rhonda in Texas

Well, I need to join you. B/c right now there about 10 cans of Diet Dr Pepper on my desk, along with empty Hunts pudding cups. I am a slob:(

Kim, Yeah, we had Sonic in AZ but not here in MN. We really miss Sonic.
On a related note, our relatives founded Culver's but we can't get any free food there. Bummer

i am right there with you! However, my passion is Coke. Its so bad that if I get down to the spare 12pk - I have to go get more, right then. I start my day off with a coke, does not matter what time I get up and I can drink it all day, evening, night and go straight to bed. My mom says I have coke running through my arteries/veins!
Thanks for the laugh!!

I can't believe it!!! He he he, I was laughing to tears :-))

I can understand you, because I have a personal drug, too: it's a wonderful chocolate and ricotta cheese pie... I can't make it, because I would eat the whole pie in one day.

Some weeks ago my sister went to Canada for an ice-skating competition. After your SOFT allusions to DDP I was A LITTLE curious and so I asked her to buy a bottle and take it to Italy...

... well...

... ehm...

... the cruel reality is...

... BLEAH!!!

It's so sweet!!!
Sorry but I don't like it at all... :-))) It's still in my fridge... will you forgive me for that waste of DDP??????

:-)))

With love,

Federica

PS: thank you so much for posting the link to the pioneer woman's blog. I love photograpy and her site is so useful for me. I'm going to buy my first reflex... whish me luck!!

PPS: please go on with BOT your family history AND your photo lessons. And what about posting some pictures of your scrapbooks?? I'm not the only one who asked you to show your work... :-)))
Many kisses from Italy!!

Kristie:

I think that it's AWESOME that you have YOUR Diet Dr. Pepper. You deserve to drink as much as you want!!!!! :) :) :)

I think Sonic should sponsor you! Too bad we don't have one here...

Pam D said...

OK.. that did it. I finally had to email Sonic to let them know they've created an addict! (hint to anyone reading the guestbook entries; if you want to nominate Kristie as Sonic customer of the year, send an email to sonicpr@sonicdrivein.com). We'll see you hoisting a DDP in a Sonic ad yet, mark my words!

I emailed them with my nomination. Can't wait to see you on TV!

Small Hijack:

To Cathy in Santa Clara-the closest Sonic I know of is in Tracy.

To Rhonda in Texas- my favorite girl books are all those by Barbara Delinsky and Kristin Hannah.

Kristie- I love DP, but I need the pellets, I think.

thanks, dixie...i googled sonic this afternoon and sure enough, the closest one is an hour away! when i was expressing my disbelief outloud to myself, my husband questioned my need for a sonic and i went on to explain the ddp/rabbit pellet ice/styrofoam cup obsession. he then brightened my day with the news that one of his clients who owns an italian restaurant in campbell will soon be opening not one, but MANY sonics in the area!! one in gilroy, morgan hill and san jose. my very own ddp/rpi/sc is going to be only minutes away...can't wait!
