Perfect Mother's Day

Nothing says, "I love you, son" quite like getting up early on a weekend, to watch your son's soccer team play in the cold and rain.

Especially when they lose.

And one of the parents on the other team almost gets in a fist-fight with your son's coach, which was about the most ridiculous thing you've ever seen, and that's including those poor people who have to stand on the street corner in Statue of Liberty costumes during tax season, waving you into their quick tax return businesses, and that's some total ridiculousness.

But anyway, near-fist-fight and loss aside, it was a great way to spend a Mother's Day.

Except that it was Saturday, and not today, so really ............. um .................

never mind.

I can't believe there's a beer wine shop in the background of their soccer field!

Happy Mother's Day - to a great MOM! I hope you had a fantastic day yesterday :)

I just wondering what kind of drinkers y'all raise out there if it takes a store as big as my KROGER to stock all the liquor!

You are so funny! Dalton actually had a tournament one year and had games on Mother's day. They got in the playoffs and played late enough in the day that the restaurant I wanted to eat at was closed by then (they close at 3:00 on Sundays). I told him he owed me big time for that :) The things we do for our kids!

I'm not sure I'll ever get over quite how long your son's legs are. It is your fault of course for pointing it out but my goodness. How tall is he?
