No News Is .... Well, Just What We Expected.

But we feel better, just the same.

Thanks to all of you for your nice notes and warm thoughts today. We didn’t get any definitive information at the doctor’s appointment, but we didn’t expect any, to be honest. Unless the physician had developed x-ray vision within the past week and could peer right into Blaine’s shoulder, or he could sense what the mass is … “With his mind”.... {picture me, raising my eyebrows and rubbing my temples} … then we knew we wouldn’t find that out today. But it was a chance for us to vent a little, and have our feelings and frustration validated. And he agreed that we’ve become a quintessential little dog, chasing our tail, yapping our fool-head off, and never getting anywhere. Nothing is actually going to CHANGE, but he’s aware, and we have a bit of a plan, so that’s encouraging. I’ll let you know more when I know more, after Blaine’s follow-up appointments in Seattle next week. In the meantime, thanks for keeping us in your thoughts!

First thing tomorrow morning, back to Fertility Watch, 1996.

I can sense your hopefulness.
We all are too.

And your spelling of quintessential was spectacular. :)

Thanks for the quick update...I've been waiting on pins and needles all day. I guess I was hoping for the x-ray vision and an answer. I guess I will be grateful that there is plan and that you both feel a bit better after venting and having your feelings validated.

I am seriously bummed out that once again I am going to miss meeting part of the Escoe clan in Seattle. We missed you in November (my husband's appointment wasn't until early December) and now we will miss Blaine by a week -he will be there on Monday and we will be there the following Monday. Close, but not close enough!

Can't wait to read the next chapter in Fertility Watch 1996!

A game plan is always good. Venting to the right people is good. Sounding hopeful and in a better place was great to hear. Thinking of Blaine.

Good gravy, lose the idiot DSL for a couple of weeks and look what happens! What a mess. I am so glad that maybe, maybe, Blaine will get some definitive answers soon. Peace to all of you. Oh, and your journaling of infertility is a (I don't know another word, although this one isn't the best) wonderful read. Thank you for sharing, and I know that many will gain.

Why am I NOT surprised at the "no news" news...but I am so glad you got to vent. As a starting point, that does help. Can't wait now for the next step! Hope it helps to know that there will be SO MANY of us out here, sending good thoughts, wishes, hope, prayers and everything else, your way!

Looking forward to the 1996 installment!

So glad you got a chance to vent, and I hope this brings some good results with the coordination of Blaine's treatment with the various doctors involved. I'll continue to send the good thoughts your way, and please keep us updated with any developments.

Dear Kristie,
I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, I can't believe that the doctor could have been so insensitive to say what he said to Blaine. Think some doctors may be good in the medical sense but they lack communication skills!
Good luck to Blaine with the next appointments, all my best wishes.
Love Angela

Kristie, you and your words are amazing! Your current post (and so many others) says it like it is! I have two great kids in my life, and I also have three others in my heart (miscarriages). So many comments are well-intentioned but incredibly clueless, stupid and misdirected. I know that there are people reading your posts and realizing that they've been saying the wrong things.

I continue to pray for Blaine and Kendrie and your entire family. It's easy to joke, but truly my prayers are for your family to get some relief from all that seems to come your way. Enough already!
