We drove 23 straight hours from Baltimore to OKC to arrive home yesterday morning, so I could unpack, do eight loads of laundry (which sadly, wasn't all of it) and re-pack for church camp this morning.
My tailbone will never be the same.
And now, my house is missing two-thirds of its little people, and is way too quiet.
In the meantime, I think I shall finish the laundry. And nap. And wonder just where my personal waiter and cook and room steward have gone. Because although I certainly appreciate Blaine bringing home pizza last night, he most certainly did NOT put my napkin in my lap and quite frankly, I'm a little bitter.

I'm glad you made it home safely and got the kids (well, 2/3 of them) off safely. Yes, the entire post-cruising adjustment is devastating, I agree. Still keeping you all in my prayers.

So glad you guys got home safely! Can't wait to hear more about your adventures!
Wow, that went too fast! I can't believe you're back home again but am very glad that it was a safe trip!
Thanks so much for your updates - I enjoyed the cruise without even being there!
Enjoy being home ----

At least you were not screaming, "Where is that damn kids club?!", like me. See the joy you still have to look forward to when they return! This doing dishes thing truly sucks! We miss you guys. Glad you liked the pics. Can't wait to see yours! xoKim
Kristi-I have followed your blog for years. Love it!!!
And I bet you don't find a towel animal on your bed tonight either!
You really did have a great trip!!!!!!! How was the car ride home for Grandma Betty with that broken leg? Home & back to reality - so hard to re adjust. When we got home from vacation I just wish there had been a grocery fairy... I can handle the laundry but the thought of going to the grocery store was too much!
I'm glad that you had a good time...it's definitely an experience coming back home.
Welcome Home!
There are serious letdown issues when returning to reality! Man does it stink!

I am from OKC. Well, we live in Edmond but I suppose that's close enough. Thanks for checking out my site!
No personal waiter? No cook? No room steward?
Welcome to my world, lol.
I'm glad you made it home in one piece and it looks and sounds like you had a terrific time.
Glad you're back home... sorry about the lack of stewards, cooks, et al. Do you think teaching the dogs to grab you a DDP out of the fridge would make up for the lack of towel critters on the bed? Just a thought :)
