Proud

Why, yes, that *is* our hometown!

We don't know any of the boys on the team -- we don't even know anyone who knows any of the boys on the team. One of the boys went to the same elementary school as my kids several years ago, but he was older. I doubt we could manage six degrees of separation even if we tried, but that doesn't stop us from being obnoxiously, territorially PROUD of these kids.

Don't know what I'm talking about? Go to YouTube and do a search for 2007 Little League World Champions.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a parade to go watch.

Congratulations to your town and these wonderful kids!! May I also congratulate the boys from my town who came in, I think third, in the Little League World Series from Chandler, Az!! Big Woohoo's to all the kids and lets not forget the great coaches who give so much of their time!

Wow - As a mom of a carded UMPIRE I am impressed. My umpire was called to umpire at Cooperstown - but since one of the days would have involved missing his High School graduation - he passed. You have NEVER seen such a disappointed mom with a child's more than likely correct decision. I would have been so much prouder watching him in uniform on the field than during a boring - very boring high school gradution. Oh well - the umpire called the shot and we all know that we don't usually agree with the ump!! My other kid is a Penn State graduate and since it is kinda close to Williamsport - they used to go as fans. It is very exciting and really - if they can have parades for Yankees (or not) and Hockey teams etc.... of course you should be cheering on your famous baseball heros. Very - very exciting!!! By the way, did you see the mom super shaking her booty on one of the You Tube clips - now that's a fan mom!!!
CONGRATULATIONS - for living in the winning state:)

I Watched Warner Robbins play three games, and I cried when they won! Then I bawled my eyes out when they started hugging the team they beat for the title, from Japan. The Japanese boys were devasted in their loss, and the boys from your home town consoled them with hugs. What great kids!

Hey -- we know three of those kids...my DD Alyssa goes to school with one, and has been in class since 4th grade with him. She also knows two other. How cool is all of this???

You should be proud! It takes a lot for those boys to get that far. They (and their families) deserve to be recognized.

You have much to be proud of! We were all proud of the kids from Coon Rapids, MN who played UNTIL they spit in their hands after losing a game and then shook hands with the other team. I am glad a nice team (with good southern manners) won instead! Go Georgia:)

It was an awesome series, and one that I was proud for my son to watch. Those are the real sports heroes from Georgia, unlike a certain quarterback who tossed his talent in the dogfighting ring and lost....
