And Not One Of You Even Mentioned It!

Despite all my comments in previous posts about my status as unqualified spelling and grammar snob --- NOT ONE PERSON mentioned that I mis-spelled "cervical" in the title of my last entry. I missed it, and either all of you missed it, or were too polite to point out my moron-ness in the middle of the tale of me, baring my infertile soul.

Cervial??? Is that even a word???

Good thing IQ isn't required to have a baby, or I'd still be childlesss.

Nope, just chalk it up to the fact that the human brain only requires the 1st and last letters to be correct. The other letters in the word can be a mess and our brains will still read it correctly. LOL!

I wanted to see how long it took you to notice and remedy the situation. Besides, I did not want to seem like an anal, nit-picky, pain-in-the-butt blog scrutiner, aka Virgo. HAHAHA! I figure I'm skating on thin ice with you as it is. I sometimes forget that you and I are NOT BFF, and that you don't know my sense of humor. And possibly don't appreciate it. HAHAHA! So, for once I kept my mouth shut; that was a first and will probably be a last! Are you working on Part 2? But, hey, no pressure.

And, just to make you feel better, in my post up there (imagine an arrow pointing up), I said blog "scrutiner." Most people would say blog SCRUTINIZER. But, being the empathetic individual that I am, I wanted you to feel better about cervial. HAHAHAHA!

hehe I was definitely 1/2 a sleep when I read your post ... thats too funny though. When I read your blog I'm either laughing or crying forget about spelling mistakes! Hope lunch with the six is going great! Do they have off this week? We do in NY- I'm loving it (except for grad school tonight)

Okay, is this a test? Are we supposed to notice AND point out that you had another out-of-character spelling error in your latest post? Or do people add extra "s"s to words when they're distraught??? :)

Everyone was just to excited to read the story that we skipped right over "cervial". :) Can't wait to read the rest of the story.

To be honest I'm not even sure I read all the titles of your entries. I am in such a hurry to read your post.

I would say that you hit the nail on the head when you said YOU were concerned about spelling....I think the rest of us really don't care too much...but I will only speak for myself...I didn't even notice it.

Yeah, totally missed that. I do read everything you write carefully, but I don't pay a bit of attention to your spelling!

Oooooooh. I thought you had mis-spelled "servile." As in "servile mucous." Ha! (Cracking myself up)

And sadder still is that I "read" it as cervical. I know all too well how important said cervical musous is. Besides, I'm way more interested in the content of your posts than the title of them !!!
Waiting patiently to find out how you went from infertility patient to surrogate!

Well, yeah, I noticed it, but I wanted you to write more, so I didn't want to point it out!

I for one don't care if you misspell anything. What I really, really want to know is how you "jump started your ovaries" to finally have so many successful pregnancies.
You are one amazing woman.

Oh yeah... I SO noticed it.
Really.

Um... well, not really.

ahem.
I didn't notice it.

But I DID really enjoy your post.
Does that count?

OK, I noticed it, BUT, since I have annoyed so many friends by pointing out their spelling and grammar mistakes in the past, my new years resolution was to stop doing that this year. I noticed you misspelled "imaging" in an earlier post about Blaine and didn't say anything then, either. Love everything you write no matter how its spelled!

Duh . . . of course I saw it. I am a pro-fessional proofreader. Not! I totally missed it. Don't tell my bosses. And don't read Housetrends magazine too closely either. Love you and your typos!

Actually, I've read that as long as the first and last letter of the word are correct, that our brains can read it anyway...That HAD to have been what happened!! (because I flat out missed it).
