Clearly A Sign

So, the fact that I had to wear my fat jeans today with a rubber band holding the button closed, and then the rubber band snapped and popped me in the stomach, is clearly a sign that I should take my new diet and exercise regimen more seriously.

Or, clearly a sign that I should buy stretchier rubber bands.

I feel your pain. I thought I was the only one who did the rubber band thang.

I say just get bigger jeans!! I used to be concerned about the actual size....now I just want to be comfortable.

Oh my...I AM getting old when comfort is the top priority!!

Or stop wearing jeans and wear yoga pants all the time like I do now. Seriously.

Yeah, well, I sat here and ate an entire bag of puffy Cheetos and a Diet Coke, and am getting ready to eat some more...thanks for the tip about the rubber band, I'd never tried that before!

I say go for the bigger jeans too. Comfort is key.

Kristie, I don't think I've ever left a comment but I'm a loyal reader. My friend bestowed upon me a blogging award and I am duty bound to pass it along. You more than deserve the award. Thanks for always making me laugh. :)

Kristie, I am SURE that you just had defective rubber bands! I blame the cold weather for making the rubber bands become "breaky." I also I am a firm believer that clothes shrink after a while. I have proof! Some of my pants have become "skinnier," of course. However, some have become "shorter." What's up with that???? I know I could have gained weight, but height? Not thinking so. So, see, it is the clothes and the rubber bands that have the issue. You are just fine. Now, celebrate with a big ole DDP from Sonic!

(BTW - I have a birthday favor to ask of you. Stop by my blog and get the details when you have a chance. You are one of my blogging heroes, so I would love to hear from ya.)

I say just don't button them and wear a big sweater over them. this is my mode of operation these days.

Have you seen the Subway ad with the person who breaks a chair, the person who loses a button on their pants...because they ate fast food? It is a hoot.

I'm with the other commenters. I don't wear jeans. Even if the right size I feel "constricty" and "uncomfy" and "muffin toppy" if the waistband is too tight. I found JMS pants at WalMart for exercising, but I will wear them at other times as well.

I'm running a giveaway for a customizable box of My Fruit Roll-Ups, which ends January 14. You can add your children's photo or a message. Perfect for V-Day! [End of shameless plug]

Maybe you could contact our good ol' friend from the CMC. She seems to know where you can get stretchy pants in every color and they never get too small...or do they!? :) Kim

How about bigger jeans, my friend. Or like everyone else suggested, some big ol sweat pants!

JC Penneys, women's jeans (Cabin Creek) with elastic waist, in petites. I know, I know - it was a sad day when I had to cross to the dark side and buy them, but the comfort factor makes it all worthwhile. I should warn you, however, that the REVERSE is also true: the fact that your jeans no longer pain you to wear takes away the last bit of motivation that you had to do something about the whole problem of needing elastic waist jeans in the first place. Buy at your own risk!!!!

I was gonna say just get yoga pants, but a few folks beat me to it. I do think the rubber band pop was probably less painful than when the safety pin opened up that was holding MY jeans together. In church. During the prayer.

Oh man, I think we live parallel lives! I still cling to the hope that I can get back in my skinny jeans....after all it is only 5 pounds away....Right!?

too funny... just get comfy pants... loose the jeans.

ha! everyone is right - yoga pants with a long top. Working from home and doing triathlon training - I am always in comfy clothes. Jeans are a shock to the system and ALWAYS too tight.

Peek-a-boo!
Saw your blog through Lori-
This made me laugh and laugh. Not at you, but with you. Today I am wearing the pants with a hot pink hairband from when I was pregnant with Tucker. That "baby" is not a baby. Can't use that as an excuse anymore!
Fun to see your blog- I see I have a lot to read to catch up!
