The reason for the season. Oh, wait. That's Christmas

I'm on a favorite photo kick, so I'll show you my most favorite, the best, most hysterical, heart-warming, kick-ass Easter photo EVER.

Kendrie and the world's most horrifying Easter bunny, circa 2000.

Seriously. Have you ever seen a more mutant Easter bunny?

This was taken at my mother's club Easter get together and one of the moms volunteered to come in costume and pose for photos with the kids. Clearly, since this woman was an acquaintance of ours, we couldn't really point out to her that her bunny costume had obviously been through radioactive poison. And possibly melted in a fire. And had eyes painted on by blind people (oh, the irony!) And perhaps run over by a car. And then stolen by aliens and warped. And was THEN shoved in a closet for thirty years, before coming out to see the light of the day at our party. And most importantly, that it was SCARING THE CHILDREN.

It was the funniest damn thing we ever saw. My best friend Kim and I were so busy trying not to laugh (unsuccessfully, I might add) we couldn't even help the poor children who were FREAKED THE HELL OUT by the gross, mutant Easter Bunny.

Oh my gosh, this photo still makes me laugh. Poor Kendrie.

That has got to be the funniest holiday photo I've ever seen! That bunny is somehow related to the devil. I feel bad for the kids who were scared, but like you I would have been laughing too hard to even snap a photo!

HaHa. A friend of mine just had her baby's picture done with the Easter Bunny and it looks like the bunny is about to eat the poor baby! Who makes these costumes anyhow??

Scarrier than the Asian bunny holding Nolan on my site! Only you'd think it was THAT bunny he's so upset!

That is one of the funniest things I have EVER seen...
How is it that the "bunny" looked at the costume and thought it was perfect for an Easter gathering???
That picture is CLASSIC!

I am laughing so hard I have tears in my eyes...seriously, I can't believe that we did that to our poor children! Now I have to go and find mine! All I can say is you will have way bigger therapy bills since you tramatized all of yours...me only 2 of the 5 at the time. Surely that makes me the superior mom! Thanks for the Easter laugh. Hope you guys are having a great one! xoKim

Absolutely horrifying!!!! How could you put that sweet little child within ten feet of that "bunny"? I'm surprised that Child Protective Services didn't make an appearance.

My husband was standing behind me as I read this post. I told him to look at the bunny, he said, "That is messed up! No wonder that kid is crying, that would scar them for life". I got a big kick out of that.

Go away demon bunny!!!!

I asked Jay why in the world people make things like that- Freaky!- To think that to someone it does not look odd or weird is well, weird!
That poor little sweet baby girl. I just love that little face!

OMG--What a blast from the past! I was at the party (Marions pizza--right??). As soon as I saw that picture I had this feeling of deja vu. Once I read your entry I knew why that bunny looked so familiar. Too funny!!! I think we moved the Easter party to Rotary Park the next year and I don’t think the bunny came to visit.

That is the best Easter Bunny photo I have ever seen! But I'm not sure I would have let my child sit on her lap even if I knew who was in there!

I have laughed and laughed at that this morning! I LOVE it! They should put that Easter Bunny out at the mall for those of us who are more interested in getting a good laugh than a good picture! Because, in the end, it will be the most favorite picture ever! I will laugh about that all day!
