Why He's a Keeper, Cancer and All

Because when a prospective renter for our house here in Georgia called yesterday, at 4:15pm, to ask if he could stop on his way home from work and pick up his wife, then come see the house ... "in about half an hour" .... this is what Blaine started doing.

He didn't try to finish watching any tv shows, or lounge around on the sofa scratching himself, or pretend he was busy in the garage "supervising" the children. He just grabbed the swiffer-thingy and jumped right in. Like he always does. Which is one of the reasons why me and my sparkly clean mini-blinds love him so.

And thank you Lord, that apparently that lovely couple were so blinded by the shine of my clean mini-blinds that they didn't notice the pile of toys shoved in the corner of Brayden's room or the dirty pajamas hidden under the pillows on Kendrie and Kellen's bed, but said they loved the house so much they agreed to rent it right then and there, because despite all my talk and bravado and confidence that things would turn out fine, I was getting a teensy bit worried we would have two mortgage payments to make without any rental iincome and even a diet of beans and rice every night wouldn't have made it possible.

Congrats! Now that the house is rented, you can still afford your DDP habit! Where do I find myself one of those "keepers"?

Congrats on the rental! Make sure you check them out because you sure don't need some crazy non-rent paying kind of people.
And when Blaine is finished with your house could you send him my way? My blinds could really use some TLC.

The really great thing is that he looks good in jeans while he's doing the cleaning... it's all good! Congrats on renting; we have some rental houses, so if you need any info, let me know.

Interesting that while Blaine grabbed the swifter and went all military clean - YOU went for the camera! What a dynamic duo you both are - Blaine made it happen and you captured the moment - Mission Accomplished! Start packing. Congratulations on things falling into place - Randy

I was thinking what Randy was....you grabbed the camera and Blaine grabbed a swifter....that is a plan I can live with.

I'd keep him just for the nice ass. (Did I say that?)

Well that was fast and easy! So glad that things worked out. Now we just need to know when the impending move will take place.

You're soooo lucky and I'm sooo jealous.....I don't remember my ex ever jumping up off the couch to do anything to help me around the house, let alone without being asked......all that and he's cute, too! I agree with whoever above asked if we could just rent Blaine! But congrats on the timely rental of the house....but, I have to ask - have you seen the weather reports for OK yesterday and today??!!! All those tornadoes???!! Does the new house have a storm cellar?? The Pacific Northwest, while possibly being the most BORING place to live on the face of the planet, is at least entirely tornado-free....I don't know if I could live peacefully with tornados....even for cheap real estate and closer access to the less boring parts of the country......
