You might remember me mentioning Kellen's class project, "paper doll of historical figure." I was finally able to explain to Kellen that George Washington was actually NOT too concerned with global warming, and after scouring both the internet (and a dollar bill in my wallet) for his likeness, Kellen made a great doll.
Which was promptly chewed up by Brew.
Kellen made the replacement doll tonight. Since we had made the first one together, and I assumed he would remember all the steps, I didn't feel the need to hover too closely as he cut out the clothes, attached the ruffles and the wig, and most importantly, drew in the facial features.
But I **am** a little surprised to discover that George Washington apparently had a cousin ---------
Mr. Bill
"ooooooooh-noooooooooooo, Mr. Bill! Don't let that dog eat me, too!!!"

Haaaahaaa! That was always one of my favorite segments on SNL back in the 70s... which is pure proof that I am easily amused. But really, if YOU were that doll, would you not be afraid? Priceless, Kristie...
Now that's freakin hilarious..but so cute.
Lori
That made me lol. See, and you thought you had nothing to blog...just wait a few minutes. all can change. Have a safe trip to soccer tournament.
How funny!! Brings back memories from how many years ago???
These school projects are killing us at our house!
Perhaps he needs just a touch more hair? Very cute, and hopefully the new little furball won't get his chops on it!
Tammy in Ohio
LMAO ROTF!!!!!!!:0)
Jo Anne......Pete's sis
funny! On a side note- I noticed you are reading the books by Dave Peltzer. I have read those as well as "A Man Named Dave". Such a sad yet inspiring story! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the books (if you care to share).
Hilarious!!!
Ahhh.... the good old days, when SNL was actually a comedy and it's purpose was to make people laugh, not push a liberal agenda.......
Oh, thanks for the Friday-morning-laugh-out-loud-at-work humor...after two miserable weeks trying (sometimes in vain!!) to recover from what my periodontist called minor (MINOR!!!!! NOT!!!) gum surgery (don't EVER believe anything that any periodontist tells you), I needed that. Also, will you please tell Blaine for me that although I know that my silly little gum surgery in NO WAY even comes close to what he's gone through with his mouth/teeth/etc., that I do believe that I now have a very SMALL measure of experience that allows me to commiserate and to empathize with some of what he's experienced - from the dental side at least, that is. Please tell him that if I thought he was a hero before (the Air Force, and all, you know!!) - that after this experience, I now KNOW, 100%-without-a-doubt that he is!! A hero, I mean!! Hope Kellen gets a good grade on Mr. George.
ROFLMAO!!
Oh if you only knew how badly I needed that laugh this morning!!!! (even if knowing who Mr. Bill is shows my age!)
I'm George's cousin!!! Well, about 11 times removed, but there are still about two or three droplets of blood in my body that we share. :)
Have fun at the soccer tourney this weekend!
