Today is my birthday. I decided to treat myself to an extra hours sleep this morning, but only fifteen minutes into it, Blaine woke me up, certain I was oversleeping and that by waking me, he was doing me a favor. Instead of being annoyed, however, I was grateful, because he interrupted a dream in which he had asked me for a divorce, and in order to support myself and the children, I had to get a job working at the local pizza parlor.
Um, that sucked.
And was “not quite” how I planned to start my birthday. I sure hope I don’t open my present from him later today and find annulment papers inside.

It must be National Weird Dream Day or something, because I had a bad one too. I dreamed that we left my 11-month old somewhere and when I went back back to get her, she was nowhere to be found. So my husband told me to quit worrying that we could find her later. I woke then, which was probably a good thing because I might have beat him senseless in my sleep!

You see, I have taken a new full time job in our school district. I've worked part time for them for 7 years as a substitute teacher, but decided to go back full time to work one-to-one with a wonderful boy facing many challenges. I'm in a brand new building. Today I found out it has ..... you'll never guess .... an ice machine with rabbit pellet ice!!! For free! for me! Oh happy day! I could bring my own styrofoam cup and Diet Doctor Pepper and enjoy your favorite treat all day long!
So for your birthday, my wish for you is your own rabbit pellet ice machine - oh, yeah, and good health, happiness, a long marriage, yada, yada, and no future employment in a pizza parlor (or ticket taking at porn movies).
