Quick Question

OK, as you probably noticed (or not) I changed the layout/background on this blog a few weeks ago. To be honest, I can't even remember why I did it .... I know there was a reason ... something to do with Blogger .... holy cow, I'm pre-senile-dementia.

Anyway, who cares why? Not me.

My quick question is this: when I selected the new layout, I chose a green-ish color template. Not quite olive-y, but one which I found not-terribly-jarring to the eyes, and thankfully *didn't* look like a graphics program had thrown up on my screen. (Much like Kendrie's little boyfriend threw up in my car on the way home from the amusement park yesterday ... but, that's another story for another day.)

But when I brought up Not Quite on my laptop yesterday, the template was as wedgewood-y blue as I've ever seen.

So let me ask you: When you bring up this site, is the background green or blue? Or otherwise?

very strange (i mean the fact that everyone else sees green & i see blue-NOT your new color scheme. whatever color it is, i like it)...i see it as wedgewood blue (header) & a blue-gray (background). the comment screen is sort of mauve-y.

Anonymous said...

Perhaps it depends on your computer? Because my MacBook shows the blog page as green, and yet my work laptop shows the blog page as a dull blue.

And stranger throw-up in your car? Oh my, that's nasty! At least if it was one of YOUR kids...

Gaile said...

It is exactly as you described, wedgewoody blue, on my computer.

Wedgewood blue here with institution gray on the comments page, but blue is the best color by far, so that's ok. :)

Definitely Wedgewood blue.

By the way, we were out of state this past weekend and in honor of you I took my kids to Sonic while my husband attended some continuing education classes. (Our local Sonics went away.) Wow. I really *am* a groupie, aren't I???

Wedgewood blue was the perfect description.

I see that the comments are mixed....that's weird.....I have no explanation as to why some of us are seeing blue and some of us are seeing green. Blogger must be possessed!

On my iMac, the homepage is two tone green - more of a light sage-y color. The comment page is beige.

Anonymous said...

Ok, I just left a comment, then logged into my lapto. On the iMac, the background was green, but on my Dell laptop, the background on the homepage is blue and on the comment page is a mauve-pink color. I could go check on the kids' desktop pc, but that means I have to go upstairs and I don't want to.

How strange...

Anonymous said...

It's blue on my screen too

Anonymous said...

Me again. It looks like most of the comments from those who specifically say they have a Mac also say the screen is green. My Dell is blue with a pink comment page. Might it be a Mac/PC issue? The two have never been able to agree, so it wouldn't be surprising if they don't agree on color, either. :-)

Can't wait (???) to hear more about the car vomit. Our son's friend did that. I ran inside for a minute only to come back out to him strapped in the seatbelt with SLIMY vomit all over the seatbelt, the child, the floor, his shoes, you name it. I asked [as kindly as I could at the time] WHY he didn't get out of the car and he said he was afraid the security alarm on the car would go off. What????

Blue. Wedgewoody. a bit liter

Not that it matters in the scheme of things, but....mine is "old appliance" green - not a smidge of blue.... and the background is beige"ish"... However, couldn't something be said in relation to "it is the thought(s)--that would be your entry -- that count and NOT the color of the background"??? And, by the way, that was a half ass compliment as no one comes to your sight for the color commentary! Take care, Randy

I hope y'all can feel the energy being sent your way every day for you remain in my thoughts so, so much. Having had radiation myself last year (33 treatments!), I can somewhat appreciate what Blaine is enduring. If he has external sores that result from the treatment. he might want to try Silvadene creme. Initially my docs prescribed the latest, most expensive skin cream which they assured me would go a long way towards keeping my skin healthy. I was very disappointed when that turned out to untrue - that stuff did absolutely nothing. Once I reached the open, weeping wound stage and threatened to stop therapy, Silvadene creme was prescribed. Within 36 hours I could see a marked difference and within a few days, the wound was healed and remained so for the balance of my treatment time. When you consider that the creme WORKED and that a huge tub of the stuff cost less than $10, you can understand why it is my miracle drug even yet today! Sometimes older is better - Silvadene has been around for a long, long time.

Hope you all have a really good week and that Blaine will feel much better.

Okay, so my Mac vs. PC theory didn't pan out. Maybe the blue-eyed people see blue and the green-eyed people see green? Hmm? I'm just sayin'. But I have brown eyes so I have no clue what that means.

I'd suggest that we all meet at Sonic to discuss our theories .... but alas, we have none in this part of our state. :-(

In the meantime, I do hope Blaine is getting some relief.

Well, I have to agree with everyone here. It's blue. Or green. :)

Want a vomit-in-the-car story? No? Too bad! My cousin's girlfriend barfed (after excessive alcohol and mexican food consumption) "in" his car. He was driving, and was trying to find somewhere to pull over because she said she was going to be sick. She rolled down the window and yakked inside the door --- in the space where the window rolls down into the door. Can't clean that out! And what a sensory delight come summer every year :)
