This station is now banned from our TV. Nice going Nogin and Nickelodeon. What a shame...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36095574.post-90613963675730373982008-09-18T07:42:00.000-05:002008-09-18T07:42:00.000-05:00I watched iCarly with my daughter a couple of week...I watched iCarly with my daughter a couple of weeks ago when she was sick. I thought it might be a step up from the sarcastic, snotty "humor" of Hannah Montana, Drake and Josh, etc.. it was better, yes,but then (because for once I was watching *with* my children, not using it as a babysitter:) I viewed the commercials. I'm with you Kristie--- no more N!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36095574.post-74939142713206275202008-09-16T11:54:00.000-05:002008-09-16T11:54:00.000-05:00Here in Canada we don't get "Nick" all of the Nick...Here in Canada we don't get "Nick" all of the Nick or Nick jr shows are on a channel called YTV or public access channels...most of the shows my 11 and 9 year old watch are on a channel that only advertises itself or channels like Discovery or Food Tv... I could not imagine having commercials like that on a kids show...I mean I am far from a prude but how soon do we need our kids growing up?....By the way Kristie we have adopted your policy about Monday - Thursday tv watching with the exception of one show we watch together on Wednesdays....you are not too popular around my house :)

Bridget from CanadaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36095574.post-72095971099363289912008-09-16T11:52:00.000-05:002008-09-16T11:52:00.000-05:00You're hilarious! The other day my sister (mother of a 2 & 3 year old) said to me, " I'm so glad I had my kids so close together, they don't know that anything other than PBS exists, I'd DIE if I had to fight with a 2 year old over watching Hannah Montana!" I just laughed, she's got it coming!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36095574.post-6622489840088248682008-09-16T08:53:00.000-05:002008-09-16T08:53:00.000-05:00There are just some things that don't need to be o...There are just some things that don't need to be on t.v. And what the heck are they advertising if the girls kissing or the vibrator falling..wow, maybe viagra, tampons and pregnancy tests aren't quite so bad! I know MY 14 year old boy loves to hear about how great Playtex Sport Tampons are when we're watching football games together!!

LenayaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36095574.post-48611250446001178092008-09-16T08:52:00.000-05:002008-09-16T08:52:00.000-05:00I'm another one that is trying to gear the kids mo...I'm another one that is trying to gear the kids more toward Discovery channel and animal planet. Not that they don't see some mating there, lol.

Zach and Cody *really* bothers me. You have these little 10-11-12 yr old boys acting like they are so horny and constantly out to score a girl. Not only is it totally inappropriate, but no boys I know of that age even think like that. They are pushing that crap younger and younger. Drake and Josh have some dating, but I can tolerate that. At least they are clearly late teens and the majority of the show focuses on the brothers' relationship. Zoey 101 is just plain awful to me.

They really need to put some better shows on for the 8-14 set IMHO. These kids are past Noggin and PBS but the alternative is filled with dating, who's hot, who is popular etc.

Then again, maybe I am a hypocrit b/c we are die-hard Spongebob fans here, lol.

RitaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36095574.post-49531648320096886242008-09-16T08:22:00.000-05:002008-09-16T08:22:00.000-05:00my kids were banned from all c&ap TV nearly on...my kids were banned from all c&ap TV nearly one year ago.
It was the absolute best decision we ever made.
There is no Nick, no Disney and life is peaceful once again!
They watch Discovery channel or American Idol!Jan R.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14098129966045936781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36095574.post-81302404110457236092008-09-16T07:33:00.000-05:002008-09-16T07:33:00.000-05:00Family Channel, too, has some inappropriate commer...Family Channel, too, has some inappropriate commercials...it drives me crazy.
Not to mention that when we are all watching the Yankee game or something equally innocuous we must endure every Viagra commerical ever made. My 11-year old son runs screaming (not quite - but is rather emphatic) that he is NOT allowed to watch Adult Swim, nor are his siblings. I love having the Film Board in my house - saves me a lot of trouble.

Thanks for the heads-up again - us Mom's have to stick together!

Kimkimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03325949453703869105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36095574.post-27704071250279327442008-09-15T21:18:00.000-05:002008-09-15T21:18:00.000-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.kimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03325949453703869105noreply@blogger.com
